Christmas Cookie Recipe
1/2 cup flour
½ tsp of baking powder
Salt to taste
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg or egg binder if vegan
1/4 cup of Verde Valley Natural Butter Flavored Olive Oil
1/4 cup of milk or milk substitute if dairy free
½ tsp cinnamon
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375º F. Grease a baking tray with Verde Valley Natural Butter Flavored Olive Oil to prevent the cookies from sticking.
Step 2: Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl until you get a spreadable dough.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, Verde Valley Natural Butter Flavored Olive Oil, milk and vanilla, until well mixed. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more milk.
Step 4: Slowly mix together both the liquid mixture and the dry mixture, gently stirring with a spatula until all the ingredients have combined to form a uniform dough.
Step 5: If cutting into shapes, roll with a dough roller by placing parchment paper over the dough and begin rolling. Then cut out the desired shapes with the molds you will be using.
Step 5: Lastly, bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Once baked, leave them to cool before transferring the cookies onto a plate. If cutting into shapes
